ProfessionalCharges.com was conceived, developed and is owned by two practicing psychologists, Larry Nadig, Ph.D. and Douglas Nies, Ph.D.. Both have been in full-time private practice for many years and have considerable experience in managing the business side of private practice and coping with collections and cash flow issues. ProfessionalCharges.com grew out of their own need for an efficient and cost effective means to improve cash flow and offer convenience to their patients. It became apparent that other professionals could benefit from the same methodology. It has since been developed as a service for other professionals who must also manage the business, collections, and cash flow issues in their practices. The owners have committed themselves to base the operations and functioning of ProfessionalCharges.com on high ethical standards consistent with the high ethical standards required for professional clinical practice.

Larry A. Nadig, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist (PSY4879), and a licensed marriage and family therapist (MFC6723), and practiced in Glendale California from 1975 to 2006. Douglas C. Nies, Ph.D. is also a licensed psychologist in the State of California (PSY8297), specializing in Clinical Psychology. Since 1984, Dr. Nies has been maintaining his own independent private practice in Glendale, California. They have drawn upon their experience in office management, professional billing and collections, marketing and their increasing reliance on computers in developing this site and concept.

Dr. Nadig retired from clinical practice in 2006, but continues to be the main manager of ProfessionalCharges.com. He also maintains another  Website that provides useful information on communication, relationships and various clinical issues.
